Titans' Monty Rice: Records 13 tackles in loss
Rice registered 13 tackles (eight solo) in Thursday's 27-13 loss to the Cowboys.
Rice was all over the field Thursday, recording a season-high 13 tackles while playing 82 percent of the defensive snaps. Since David Long (elbow) went down in Week 13, Rice has seen a significant increase in usage, producing 39 tackles and a pass deflection over the last four contests. The linebacker will in all likelihood remain busy in the Titans' regular season finale against the Jaguars in Week 18.

Rice finished with his second-highest tackle total of the season, three behind his 12 stops Week 14 against the Jaguars. The second-year linebacker has seen an increased role over the past two weeks, playing 120 total defensive snaps over the pair of contests. Rice started at inside linebacker Sunday after David Long landed on injured reserve with an elbow injury sustained Week 13 against Philadelphia. With Zach Cunningham (elbow) also still on IR, the 23-year-old Rice finished with a team high in tackles despite playing eight fewer defensive snaps than fellow linebacker Dylan Cole (59) in Week 14. Rice has now totaled 19 tackles while stepping into a larger role over the past two games, and he's likely to continue seeing prominent usage Week 15 against the Chargers.

One of Rice's seven tackles was for a loss. He tied a season-high with his tackle total, as he also recorded that many in Week 10 against the Broncos. The 23-year-old did his damage in just 26 defensive snaps (36 percent).
