  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Tops 40 yards from scrimmage Sunday

Warren rushed six times for 36 yards while securing three of four targets for seven yards during the Steelers' 28-14 win over Cleveland on Sunday. Warren racked up a season-high 15 touches during Pittsburgh's Week 17 win over the Ravens, but he had a more limited role in the team's offense to close out the regular season. Although starting running back Najee Harris appeared in every game this year, Warren carved out a somewhat consistent role as the No. 2 option in the backfield, rushing 77 times for 379 yards and a touchdown while securing 28 of 33 targets for 214 yards. While Harris should remain the clear No. 1 RB in Pittsburgh next season, Warren has appeared to gain the trust of the team's coaching staff as the top backup.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Season-high 15 touches in win

Warren had 12 carries for 76 yards and caught all three of his targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 16-13 win over the Ravens. Warren was part of a two-headed rushing attack with Najee Harris (22-111-0) that lit up the Ravens' stout defensive front for a combined for 198 rushing yards on the day. The undrafted rookie has seen his role increase late in the season, receiving double-digit carries for the second time in three weeks. Harris is still the lead back in Pittsburgh, but Warren is proving that he is more than just a third-down option. The Oklahoma State product will look to finish his solid rookie campaign on a high note when the Steelers take on the Browns in Week 18.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Tallies 30 yards from scrimmage

Warren rushed six times for 23 yards while securing one of two targets for seven yards during the Steelers' 13-10 win over the Raiders on Saturday. Warren was on the field for just 30 percent of the Steelers' offensive snaps Saturday, but he still saw some touches. He's now logged at least five touches in each of the last three weeks, and he's logged at least 30 yards from scrimmage in back-to-back games. However, he's had a relatively muted role with Najee Harris healthy.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Reaches end zone against Carolina

Warren rushed 11 times for 38 yards and a touchdown while securing his lone target for 11 yards during the Steelers' 24-16 win over the Panthers on Sunday. Warren had been limited to 55 yards from scrimmage over his prior three games, but he bounced back with a solid performance in Carolina that included his first touchdown of the season. The 24-year-old rookie has been inconsistent while working behind Najee Harris, but Warren has rushed 53 times for 244 yards and a touchdown while securing 21 of 24 targets for 178 yards on the season.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Records five touches against Ravens

Warren rushed three times for 11 yards while securing two of three targets for 16 yards during the Steelers' 16-14 loss to Baltimore on Sunday. Warren racked up 19 yards in his return to action last week, but he was slightly more involved during Pittsburgh's narrow loss Sunday. In his three games since racking up at least 75 yards in back-to-back appearances, the undrafted rookie has rushed four times for 16 yards while securing five of six targets for 39 yards.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Minimal involvement in return

Warren rushed once for five yards while securing both of his targets for 14 yards during the Steelers' 19-16 win over the Falcons on Sunday. Warren missed Monday's game against the Colts due to a hamstring injury but was back in action for Sunday's Week 13 matchup. While he outpaced Benny Snell in snaps, Warren was on the field for just 20 percent of Pittsburgh's offensive plays. The undrafted rookie topped 75 yards from scrimmage in two of his three appearances prior to his absence, but he's unlikely to be a consistent fantasy contributor as long as Najee Harris remains healthy.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: RBs to Sit

The Steelers' running back situation has been all over the place this week. On Monday, Najee Harris left the Week 12 game at Indianapolis with an oblique injury, and Benny Snell took over with Jaylen Warren (hamstring) inactive. Then on Wednesday, Warren returned to a full practice, while Harris sat out, which made it seem like he would be out for Week 13 at Atlanta. That certainly made Warren more attractive in a plus matchup against the Falcons if he would be the starter. By Friday, Harris was back to a full practice, and he's now the lone Steelers running back to trust. Warren, who scored 10 PPR points in each of his two previous healthy games, still has sleeper appeal in deeper leagues, but you can't start him in most formats if Harris is healthy and active. As for Snell, ignore him in all leagues.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Questionable Sunday

Warren (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against Atlanta, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports. Warren practiced fully during each of Pittsburgh's three practice sessions this week, but he'll still carry a questionable designation ahead of Week 13. It wouldn't be surprising to see the undrafted rookie suit up this week after missing Monday's win over the Colts. However, Warren would be in line to serve in a backup capacity since Najee Harris will be able to play through an oblique issue.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Week 13 Adds (RB Preview)

Warren has been by far the most efficient Steelers' running back, averaging 5 yards per carry and 8.6 yards per catch. If he maintains anything close to that with a starter's workload, he has top-15 upside.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Trending toward return in Week 13

Warren said Wednesday that he's been cleared to return from his hamstring injury ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Barring any setbacks in practice this week, Warren looks like he'll be ready to play this weekend after sitting out Monday's 24-17 win over the Colts. Warren's status is of more importance than usual, given that Najee Harris sustained an abdominal injury Monday and isn't a sure bet to suit up Week 13. Wednesday's injury report will clarify the practice participation level of Pittsburgh's top two running backs.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Out for Monday

Warren (hamstring) will not play in Monday's matchup against the Colts, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports. Warren didn't practice all week, so it's hardly surprising to see the rookie unavailable. Najee Harris easily put together his best game of the season in Week 11 and will likely be tasked with the majority share of the backfield in Warren's absence.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Status in question for Monday

Coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Warren's (hamstring) availability Monday at Indianapolis is up in the air, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports. Warren was ruled out of this past Sunday's loss to the Bengals due to a hamstring injury, which isn't "significant," according to Tomlin. Still, Warren's practice reps seemingly will be capped when the Steelers take the practice field Thursday. If Warren is inhibited or sidelined Monday, Benny Snell would be the primary reserve running back behind Najee Harris.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Exits Sunday's game

Warren was forced out of Sunday's game against the Bengals with a hamstring injury, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports. Before his exit, Warren had caught one pass for nine yards. In his absence, Benny Snell is available to log complementary snaps behind top back Najee Harris.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Week 11 Adds (RB Preview)

Warren has been a mainstay in the stash section, but after his increased role in Week 10, he's more of a high-end flex. Warren looks locked in as the passing downs back and there's a good chance the Steelers are playing from behind in Week 11 against Cincinnati. He's also one injury away from being a must-start back each week.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Week 11 Waiver Priority List

Warren didn't take over as the lead running back for the Steelers in Week 10 against New Orleans, but he did have an increased role in tandem with Najee Harris, playing 43 percent of the snaps. Warren had a season-high nine carries and 12 total touches, and he scored 10 PPR points for the second game in a row. He's now become someone you can use as a flex option while Harris is healthy, and if Harris were to miss any time then Warren would be a No. 2 running back in all leagues. He's worth adding for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Sleeper RBs

The Steelers haven't said they are benching Najee Harris, but Mike Tomlin indicated Warren could have a bigger role for Pittsburgh after the bye in Week 9. That could make Warren a potential flex option this week against the Saints. In the Steelers last game before their bye in Week 8 at Philadelphia, Warren had six carries for 50 yards, along with three catches for 25 yards on three targets. If he's able to replicate that level of production this week against New Orleans then that would make him a flex play in all leagues. Harris, for now, remains a No. 2 running back in all leagues, but make sure Warren is rostered in case a permanent change happens for the Steelers in their backfield.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Practice reps haven't increased

Warren indicated Thursday that he hasn't had any increase in practice reps or responsibilities as Sunday's game against the Saints approaches, Chris Adamski of TribLive.com reports. Per Dale Lolley of the Steelers' official site, there's been speculation that Warren -- who has averaged 5.3 yards on his 29 rushing attempts to date -- could see more backfield touches moving forward, but offensive coordinator Matt Canada suggested Thursday that he believes lead back Najee Harris, who has averaged 3.3 yards per carry on 108 rushes thus far, now is healthy and "will start trending in the right direction, as well." In any case, Warren figures to continue to contribute in third-down situations, a context that could result in the undrafted rookie seeing enough touches in the weeks ahead to make his mark in deeper leagues.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Stashes (RB Preview)

I'm not sure why Warren is still only rostered in 46% of leagues. He should be rostered in any league 10 teams or deeper, at least for this week.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Could see added opportunities

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin suggested Tuesday that Warren might get a look in a feature-back role at some point in 2022, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. "He's a quality back who has made some plays," Tomlin said of Warren. "We'll keep giving him an opportunity to do so, and maybe he'll write that script." Meanwhile, top back Najee Harris, who suffered a foot injury during training camp, has managed to play in all eight of the Steelers' games thus far while averaging 3.3 yards on 108 carries. For his part, Warren has averaged 5.3 yards on his 29 rushing opportunities to date, and while Tomlin's comments don't necessarily foreshadow the undrafted rookie supplanting Harris as Pittsburgh's lead back following the team's bye week, it wouldn't be a surprise if Warren earned more touches in the coming weeks. Warren most recently turned in a six-carry, 50-yard effort to go along with three catches for 25 yards in the Steelers' 35-13 loss to the Eagles in Week 8.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Week 10 Waiver Priority List

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin hinted Tuesday that he might consider giving Warren additional work at the expense of Najee Harris, and you should plan on adding Warren in all leagues. "We've got some awesome contributions from Jaylen, and it's reasonable to expect that to continue," Tomlin said. "I know that, like I mentioned when we're talking about a division of labor and who's done what and who's done what well, I know that was a topic of discussion and very evident in our tape review." While Warren won't completely replace Harris as the main running back in Pittsburgh, it's worth picking up Warren now to see what happens heading into Week 10 against the Saints. In the Steelers' last game before their bye in Week 8 at Philadelphia, Warren had six carries for 50 yards, along with three catches for 25 yards on three targets. He's worth adding for at least 10 percent of your remaining FAB.
