The Chargers signed Webb (knee) to a reserve/future contract Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Webb dealt with a knee injury during training camp and remained on the Chargers' practice squad throughout the entire 2022 campaign. He appears to be healthy now, and with his new contract, the 2021 seventh-round pick will have a chance to compete for a larger role during the upcoming offseason.... See More ... See Less

Chargers' Mark Webb: Designated to return
Webb (knee) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports. Webb spent just over a month on IR but was cleared to return to practice Wednesday. It's not yet clear whether the safety will be back on the field for Sunday's game against Denver.... See More ... See Less -
Chargers' Mark Webb: Doubtful for Sunday
Webb (knee) is doubtful to play Sunday against the Steelers. Webb was inactive last week against the Vikings and didn't practice this week, so it'd be quite a surprise if he ends up playing. If he can't go, then the Chargers would be extremely thin at safety considering Trey Marshall (ankle) is questionable and Alohi Gilman (quadriceps) is also doubtful.... See More ... See Less -
Chargers' Mark Webb: Absent from injury report
Webb (hamstring) wasn't listed on Wednesday's injury report, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports. The rookie seventh-round pick made the 53-man roster out of training camp. With Derwin James and Nasir Adderley in the fold, Webb is expected to mostly contribute on special teams to start the year.... See More ... See Less

Chris Hayre@chrishayre1D agoTalking Chargers and Rams on @kcalnews all morning. Given what was at stake, Sunday may have been the best game Justin Herbert (40-of-47 for 405 yards and three TDs) and Keenan Allen (18 catches for 215 yards and a 49-yard TD pass) have played in their NFL careers.

Daniel Popper@danielrpopper2D agoThe #Chargers have avoided rock bottom. They are 1-2. The season is alive. Still, so many of the same issues of the Brandon Staley Era persist. Diving into the unfettered mayhem that was the fourth quarter in Minneapolis: https://t.co/Qauj8MPQA5

Daniel Popper@danielrpopper2D agoI expected this game to be madness, and it somehow exceeded my expectations in a way only the Chargers and Vikings could. Story will be up soon.

Chris Hayre@chrishayre2D agoChargers escape Minnesota for their first win of the season, 28-24. Felt like a playoff game in September, with the wildest ending to date. Game balls: Justin and Keenan, Tuli and Alohi.

Daniel Popper@danielrpopper2D agoFINAL: #Chargers 28, Vikings 24 Kenneth Murray interception seals the game. Chargers avoid disaster thanks to back-to-back goal-to-go stands from the defense. They improve to 1-2 on the season.
