The Panthers moved Thomas-Oliver (hamstring) to their practice squad injured reserve list Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. Thomas-Oliver is tending to a hamstring injury and will now be ineligible to be elevated for Carolina's next four contests. The defensive back out of Florida International played in just three games for the Panthers last year after seeing action in 22 contests over his first two NFL campaigns.... See More ... See Less

Panthers' Stantley Thomas-Oliver: Back for OTAs
Thomas-Oliver (thigh) has been spotted participating in Carolina's OTAs, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports. After suffering a thigh injury Week 3 that landed him on injured reserve for the remainder of the 2022 season, Thomas-Oliver appears to have moved past the injury. The 25-year-old has appeared in 25 games for the Panthers over the past three seasons, tallying 17 tackles. Barring any setbacks, the 2020 seventh-round pick is in line to battle for a depth spot in Carolina's cornerback corps.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Stantley Thomas-Oliver: Out for Week 6
Thomas-Oliver (thigh) will not play in Sunday's Week 6 contest versus the Rams, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Thomas-Oliver will miss a third straight game as he nurses a thigh injury. In his absence, Keith Taylor could see an increased workload.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Stantley Thomas-Oliver: Returns to active roster
The Panthers activated Thomas-Oliver (toe) from injured reserve Saturday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Thomas-Oliver returned to practice Wednesday and will be available for Sunday's game against the Bills. The backup cornerback - who has registered nine defensive snaps this season - has missed the Panthers' last six games while sitting out with a toe injury and should reprise his role as a key contributor on special teams (149 snaps over eight games) now that he is healthy.... Panthers' Stantley Thomas-Oliver: Full go at practice Wednesday
Thomas-Oliver (toe) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, David Newton of ESPN.com reports. Thomas-Oliver missed two consecutive games due to a toe injury, but it appears he is healthy and ready to return to action in Week 11. The second-year cornerback has appeared in eight games for the Panthers this season, but the majority of his snaps have come on special teams.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Stantley Thomas-Oliver: Sitting out second straight game
Thomas-Oliver (toe) won't play in Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Joe Person of The Athletic reports. Thomas-Oliver will miss a second consecutive game due to this injury. Once healthy, he'll likely resume his role as a special-teams contributor with limited playing time on defense.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Stantley Thomas-Oliver: Questionable for Sunday
Thomas-Oliver (toe) is listed as questionable for the Panthers' Week 9 contest against the Patriots. Thomas-Oliver was a limited participant in practice Wednesday but was then unable to practice in any capacity Thursday or Friday. The fact that the cornerback went from a limited participant to a non-participant in practice is not a good sign. The 2020 seventh-round pick could still end up as a healthy scratch even if he is able to suit up.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Stantley Thomas-Oliver: Back to full health
Thomas-Oliver (hamstring) is not listed on Wednesday's injury report, Alaina Getzenberg of The Charlotte Observer reports. Thomas-Oliver missed Sunday's loss to the Raiders due to a hamstring injury, but it looks as though he's already managed a full recovery. Of course, even if he's available, the rookie seventh-round pick could end up a healthy scratch versus Tampa Bay in Week 2.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Stantley Thomas-Oliver: Ruled out for Week 1
Thomas-Oliver (hamstring) is inactive for the team's Week 1 contest against the Raiders, Myles Simmons of the Panthers' official site reports. Thomas-Oliver was a seventh round selection in the 2020 draft. He was expected to serve a depth role in the secondary if active, but he'll have to wait until at least Week 2 for his NFL debut.... Panthers' Stantley Thomas-Oliver: Questionable versus Raiders
Thomas-Oliver (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Joe Person of The Athletic reports. The rookie seventh-round pick isn't expected to handle more than a reserve role even if he's able to suit up Week 1, so the Panthers could simply opt to take a cautious approach to his recovery. As a converted wide receiver, Thomas-Oliver could realistically need more time to develop before he's able to handle consistent defensive snaps.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Stantley Thomas-Oliver: Heading to Carolina
The Panthers selected Thomas-Oliver in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft, 221st overall. A converted wide receiver at Florida International, Thomas-Oliver earned All-Conference USA honors in 2018 and was second-team all-conference in 2019. He's still learning the position, but the raw athleticism is obvious, and he should make for an intriguing depth option in Carolina.... See More ... See Less

Art Stapleton@art_stapleton21M agoLet's take a step back and assess the situation at QB for what it is with #NYGiants: Maybe they draft one today or tomorrow. Seems unlikely with just five picks left, but we'll see. Daniel Jones is essentially on a 1-year deal until he proves otherwise. Drew Lock is going to…

Art Stapleton@art_stapleton34M agoComps I heard for Malik Nabers last night: Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs. Well, if that's who the #NYGiants drafted, and Nabers has a similar impact, which admittedly is an outrageous expectation the morning after, all segments of the fan base will likely get along at some point.

Art Stapleton@art_stapleton1H agoI won’t be arguing every point in my mentions this morning. I promise. Day 2 resolution. I’ll just say this: if the Patriots wanted to trade the pick, the Giants would’ve traded for the pick and selected Drake Maye. A deal didn’t get done, but I don’t believe it was because the…
