  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Likely to be suspended

Rice is likely facing a multi-game suspension for his involvement in a car crash in late March, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Rice left the scene of a six-car accident on a Dallas highway and now faces charges for aggravated assault, collision involving serious bodily injury and collision involving injury. While he figures to be suspended at some point, the NFL typically allows legal processes to play out before doling out league punishment, which means it's possible Rice is on the field come Week 1.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Expected to participate in virtual meetings

Coach Andy Reid indicated Monday that Rice is expected to remotely participate in the initial stage of the Chiefs' voluntary offseason program via virtual meetings, NFL.com reports. Per Adam Teicher of ESPN.com, Rice -- who is is facing one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and six counts of collision involving injury stemming from his involvement in a car crash in Dallas last month -- turned himself in to police last week and was subsequently released on bond. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the league has been closely monitoring developments related to the incident, while Reid noted that it remains to be seen whether the wideout will participate later in the spring when the team's offseason program moves to Kansas City. "I want to keep gathering the information from the law enforcement people,'" Reid said Monday. "We'll just see where everything goes from there (and) let the process take place."

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Arrest warrant issued

An arrest warrant for Rice has been issued stemming from a March 30 chain-reaction collision on a Dallas highway that involved a vehicle the wide receiver was driving, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports. The report adds that Rice now faces eight counts -- aggravated assault, collision involving serious bodily injury and six counts of collision involving injury -- as a result of the incident, which left four people with minor injuries. Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the league has been closely monitoring developments regarding the incident, with previous reports relaying that Rice intended to continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Cooperating with police

Rice's attorney said Monday that the wide receiver is cooperating with police after a vehicle registered to him was involved in a multi-car crash Saturday evening, Jamie Stengle of The Associated Press reports. It isn't yet clear if Rice was in one of the two cars responsible for causing a six-car crash. If so, he could face criminal charges, as drivers and passengers from a Lamborghini SUV and a Corvette allegedly left the scene of the accident without providing information or seeing if anyone needed medical attention. The crash isn't believed to have involved any serious injuries, though two occupants of another vehicle were taken to a hospital for further attention.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Sought in crash investigation

Dallas police are searching for Rice in connection with a major multi-vehicle traffic collision that occurred Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The accident occurred at about 6:20 p.m. locale time, and at this time, it's unclear whether anyone was hurt in the crash or to what extent Rice was involved. According to Kelli Smith and R.J. Coyle of The Dallas Morning News, a vehicle involved in the collision is believed to be registered or leased to the Kansas City receiver, though the report also notes that Rice didn't appear in Dallas County jail records as of Sunday, and it's also unclear whether he's facing charges. Rice grew up in the Dallas area and attended SMU before being selected by the Chiefs in second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Six catches in Super Bowl

Rice recorded six receptions (on eight targets) for 39 yards in Sunday's 25-22 overtime win over the 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. He added two rushes for five yards. Rice finished second on the team in targets behind Travis Kelce, which turned into an uninspiring yardage total. However, Rice notched a pair of impactful receptions on the Chiefs' game-winning drive in overtime, the latter of which was a 13-yard gain on third down to get the offense into 49ers territory. The effort concluded a strong second half of the season for the rookie pass catcher, as he commanded at least eight targets in eight of Kansas City's last 10 games including playoffs. Rice will be a key part of the offense in 2024 and should share the top pass-catching role with Travis Kelce.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Avoids injury designation

Rice (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's Super Bowl matchup with the 49ers. The rookie sandwiched full practices Wednesday and Friday around a limited session Thursday. He was initially listed with one ankle injury and now is listed with both, but it seems neither is bad enough to threaten his availability for the big game. Rice has been Kansas City's clear No. 1 WR since mid-season, routinely leading the group in snaps, routes, targets and yards while the other guys mostly have rotated. Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Justin Watson are the best bets to get playing time alongside Rice, though neither is a sure thing to handle a typical starter's workload.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Tending to injured ankles

Rice was a limited practice participant Thursday due to injured ankles. Until Thursday's practice report, Rice was listed as a full participant with an ankle issue, but the Chiefs expanded that to the plural ankles just three days before Super Bowl LVIII. The rookie wide receiver thus will have one more chance to return to all activity or else potentially be in danger of heading into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's game against the 49ers.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Garners nine targets in win

Rice had eight receptions (on nine targets) for 46 yards in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Ravens in the AFC Championship Game. Rice finished second in receiving for Kansas City behind tight end Travis Kelce (11-116-1) while logging his fifth game of eight-plus receptions dating back to the team's bye in Week 11 of the regular season. The second-round rookie actually produced one less yard than he did against the Bills in the AFC divisional round despite doubling his reception total from that win. Rice has produced a receiving line of 20-223-1 across three playoff games as the Chiefs prepare to face the winner of the NFC Championship Game in Las Vegas on Sunday, Feb. 11.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Held to 47 yards

Rice recorded four receptions on four targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Bills. Rice had his opportunity curtailed by the Chiefs' overall volume, as the team ran only 47 offensive plays compared to 78 for the Bills. As a result, he saw his lowest target total since Week 9, and he failed to surpass 50 receiving yards for the first time since Week 11. Rice will face another tough test in the AFC Championship Game, as he'll square off against a Baltimore secondary that allowed the ninth-fewest yards to opposing wide receivers.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Big performance in wild-card round

Rice recorded eight receptions on 12 targets for 130 yards and one touchdown in Saturday's 26-7 win over the Dolphins. Rice was the Chiefs' top pass catcher by any measure Saturday. He kicked off the scoring with an 11-yard touchdown reception on the team's first offensive possession, and he also chipped in three receptions of at least 20 yards. With the performance, he now has at least 90 receiving yards in four of his last seven games. Rice suffered a brief injury scare early in the third quarter but was able to return to the game and should be ready to go for Kansas City's divisional-round matchup.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Practices fully Tuesday

Rice (hamstring) was a full practice participant Tuesday. While Rice managed the hamstring injury, Kansas City held him out of practice for the entirety of Week 18 prep before he was inactive for Sunday's 13-12 win over the Chargers. Even if he hadn't been nursing the injury, Rice may have played only limited snaps, as the AFC West champs opted to rest other key contributors such as quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce while the team was locked in as the No. 3 seed in the conference. Now that he's back on the field as a full practice participant, Rice looks like he'll head into Saturday's wild-card matchup with the Dolphins with no restrictions.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Still not practicing

Rice (hamstring) won't practice Thursday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports. Rice also missed Wednesday's session, so the wideout now has one more opportunity to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Chargers. Either way, with the Chiefs locked into the AFC's No. 3 playoff seed, Rice is a candidate to be held out by the team in Week 18.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Sidelined for practice Wednesday

Rice won't practice Wednesday due to a hamstring injury, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports. Rice wasn't known to be tending to an injury coming out of this past Sunday's 25-17 win over the Bengals, during which he recorded five catches for 127 yards. Though his lack of activity to begin Week 18 prep isn't ideal, Rice will be a candidate to sit out this Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Chargers or see a reduced workload regardless of his health. Kansas City is locked in as the No. 3 seed in the playoffs no matter what happens in Week 18, so the team's main goal for Sunday will be to prioritize health for key players above all else.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Second 100-yard performance

Rice recorded five receptions on six targets for 127 yards in Sunday's 25-17 win over the Bengals. Despite having targets split fairly evenly across several pass catchers, Rice emerged as the top pass catcher for the Chiefs in Sunday's win. His most impactful play of the game was a 67-yard catch down the right sideline late in the third quarter when he got behind the Bengals' secondary to help set up a field goal. That play also marked Rice's longest gain of the season and helped him to his second 100-yard performance in his last six contests. He also has three touchdowns in that span.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Contrarian DFS Play (WR Preview)

I would not expect this Chiefs offense to be popular after their very public poor performance in an island game on Christmas. Still, the Bengals have been one of the worst defenses in the NFL this season and Rice has 50 targets in his last five games.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: WRs to Start

Rice's breakout started in Week 12 at Las Vegas when he had eight catches for 107 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets for 24.7 PPR points. Since then, he's scored at least 14.4 PPR points in four games in a row, and he has at least nine targets and seven catches in each outing over that span, with three touchdowns. The Raiders have allowed a receiver to score at least 13.4 PPR points in eight of their past nine games, and Rice should be considered a No. 1 Fantasy receiver in all leagues in Week 16.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Finds end zone in Week 15 win

Rice caught all nine of his targets for 91 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-17 win over the Patriots. The rookie has completed his transformation into Patrick Mahomes' favorite wideout, leading Kansas City in targets, catches and receiving yards, but Rice's TD reception Sunday came on an Andy Reid special in the red zone -- Jerick McKinnon took a direct snap and flipped it to the crossing Rice for an easy score. The 2023 second-round pick has scored in consecutive games for the first time, and over the last four contests he's amassed a 32-334-3 line on 38 targets. Rice will look to keep rolling in Week 16 against the Raiders, the team he posted his first career 100-yard game against in their first meeting.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: WRs to Start

There's no sitting Rice now after the way he's performed in the past three games against the Raiders, Packers and Bills. He has at least 14.4 PPR points in three games in a row, and he has at least nine targets and seven catches in each outing over that span. The Patriots have allowed five receivers to score at least 12.3 PPR points in the past five games, and Rice should be considered a No. 2 Fantasy receiver in all leagues. Even though the Chiefs offense is struggling of late, Rice continues to emerge as the No. 1 receiver for Patrick Mahomes.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Hauls in sixth TD

Rice caught seven of 10 targets for 72 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Bills. The rookie wideout led Kansas City in catches and tied Travis Kelce for the team lead in targets, although the tight end produced more yardage. Rice scored his sixth TD of the season on a four-yard strike from Patrick Mahomes late in the third quarter, and he's caught at least seven passes in three straight games -- his three highest-volume performances of the year, a stretch in which Rice has delivered a 23-243-2 line on 29 targets. Kansas City's emerging No. 1 receiver will look to keep rolling in Week 15 against the Patriots.
