John McClain@McClain_on_NFL22H agoI don't see Slowik leaving for a HC job after one season as an OC and play caller. I think like Ryans last year, he'll return for a second season, then accept a HC job. With Stroud being so good playing with so many talented young players, the Texans should keep improving.

John McClain@McClain_on_NFL22H agoComing from the 49ers, DeMeco Ryans knows if the Texans are successful, he must have position coaches ready to become coordinators when a coordinator like Bobby Slowik leaves for head coaching jobs.
-
John McClain@McClain_on_NFL22H agoI figure OC Bobby Slowik will be with the Texans through the 2024 season because he needs more experience as a play-caller. When he leaves to be a HC, QB coach Jerrod Johnson would be an obvious candidate for a promotion to OC. But Aggie ties are strong, as we all know.

John McClain@McClain_on_NFL22H agoIf I'm the Texans, I don't want new A&M coach Mike Elko trying to hire Texans QB coach Jerrod Johnson as his OC. Johnson is an Aggie who's doing a great job with CJ Stroud and will be an OC at some point soon. Then perhaps even a head coach. He's that highly thought of!

Stephanie Stradley@StephStradley22H agoOn days where #Texans fans are complaining about a Ref Show game, I am happy that the content about refs is better, more abundant, even if the commentary is uneven. Look at this blurgh from 15 (!!!) years ago I did. It's the best I could do LOL https://t.co/nyw3nr1bGS
