The Jets acquired Reddick from the Eagles on Friday in exchange for a conditional third-round draft pick, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Per the report, Reddick is expected to agree to a new contract with the Jets, who will reportedly absorb $14.5 million of the edge rusher's salary for the 2024 season. With the move, the Jets add a player who can provide a nice boost to the team's pass rush, on the heels of a 2023 campaign in which Reddick racked up 38 tackles and 11 sacks in 17 regular-season contests with Philadelphia.... Eagles' Haason Reddick: Wants to remain in Philly
Reddick said Tuesday that he wishes to remain with the Eagles and "would like to get an extension done," dismissing reports that he'd requested a trade from the team, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports. Reddick said "at no point did I ever tell the [Eagles] I want to be traded," contrary to a Monday report by Tim McManus of ESPN.com which cited a league source. The 29-year-old tallied 11 sacks for Philadelphia in 17 regular-season games this year, his fourth consecutive campaign with double-digit sacks, and during the team's 2022 Super Bowl run he racked up 16 regular-season sacks and 3.5 more across the postseason. Reddick has one year remaining on his contract, with no guaranteed money left, so in order to remain with the Eagles either an extension or a restructured deal could be necessary.... See More ... Eagles' Haason Reddick: Records double-digit sacks again
Reddick finished the year with 11.0 sacks and 38 tackles in 17 regular-season games. Reddick recorded double-digit sacks for the fourth consecutive season, leading his team in that category and tying for 15th in the NFL. Outside of the sacks, though, Reddick's numbers were poor by his standards. His 38 tackles were the second-lowest mark of his career, and he neither forced nor recovered a fumble after forcing five and recovering three last season. His snap share (74 percent) remained identical, so the drop-off wasn't due to a lack of opportunities.... See More ... See Less -
Eagles' Haason Reddick: Dealing with illness
Reddick was estimated as a nonparticipant in Wednesday's practice walkthrough due to an illness. Reddick played his usual allotment of snaps in Sunday's loss to Arizona, but he appears to have since come down with an illness. On a positive note, the fact that the issue has come up early in the week makes it more likely that he'll recover in time to play in Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Giants. Reddick leads Philadelphia with 11.0 sacks on the season, so the Eagles will hope to have him on the field Sunday in a game they must win to have a chance of claiming the NFC East title.... Eagles' Haason Reddick: Two sacks in loss
Reddick had three tackles (two solo), including two sacks, in Sunday's 33-13 loss to the Cowboys. Reddick is now up to 11.0 sacks on the year, which is tied for his production from the 2021 season. He leads the Eagles in that category and is tied for 10th in the NFL with Justin Madubuike. Reddick is five sacks away from matching his career-high 16.0 sacks from the 2022 season.... See More ... Eagles' Haason Reddick: Logs another sack in loss
Reddick recorded three tackles (three solo), including a sack, in Sunday's 42-19 loss to the 49ers. Reddick now has 9.5 sacks this season, and he was just one of two Philadelphia defenders to sack Brock Purdy in Sunday's blowout loss. The 2017 first-round pick has now notched at least one sack in seven of his last nine games.... See More ... See Less -
Eagles' Haason Reddick: Gets another sack vs. Cowboys
Reddick recorded two tackles (two solo) including a sack in Sunday's 28-23 win versus Dallas. For the second straight game and for the fifth time in his last six games, Reddick added another sack to his season total in Week 9. He's on pace for his fourth consecutive double-digit sack season, and he should be able to tee off in Week 11 when Philadelphia travels to face a pass-heavy Kansas City offense after the Eagles' bye in Week 10.... Eagles' Haason Reddick: Two sacks in win
Reddick recorded two tackles, both of which were sacks, in Sunday's 23-14 win over the Rams. Reddick wasn't very active, but when he did make a tackle, he made the most of it. The linebacker has now registered three sacks over the last two games, though he's only at five total tackles so far this season.... See More ... See Less -
Eagles' Haason Reddick: Dealing with injury
Reddick (thumb) did not practice Tuesday, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports. Reddick's injury details are not yet known, so it's unclear how much more time, if any, he might miss. The Pro Bowl pass rusher will now focus on recovery so he can return to practice.... See More ... See Less -
Eagles' Haason Reddick: Back at practice
Reddick (groin) is practicing Tuesday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Reddick has been dealing with the injury since camp opened and has been relegated to individual drills, but he's been ramping up his workload and took to the field Wednesday with pads on. However, it's still not clear if he's reached full participant status or if he remains limited.... See More ... See Less -
Eagles' Haason Reddick: Cleared for Sunday
Reddick doesn't have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's contest against Washington. Reddick logged limited practices Wednesday and Thursday due to a knee injury but was a full participant Friday and will be good to go for Week 3. Across the first two games of the season, the veteran linebacker has recorded four tackles and one pass defense across 86 defensive snaps.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Haason Reddick: Adds to tally
Reddick finished with four tackles (three solo), 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Cardinals. Reddick stripped opposing quarterback Colt McCoy on the opening drive, immediately setting the Panthers up in scoring position. Through 10 games, Reddick now boasts 45 tackles and 9.5 sacks, making him one of the better offseason additions league-wide.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Haason Reddick: Gets another sack
Reddick finished with four tackles (three solo) and a sack in Sunday's 19-13 win over the Falcons. Reddick got to opposing quarterback Matt Ryan on Atlanta's second offensive play of the game, bringing his season sack total to 7.5 through eight games. That tally currently ranks fifth league-wide, but among those ahead of him, only Harold Landry sports more than Reddick's 38 total tackles. A high-impact offseason addition, Reddick will strive to keep his momentum going in Week 9 versus the Patriots.... See More ... See Less -
Panthers' Haason Reddick: Sack total keeps climbing
Reddick racked up 1.5 sacks in Thursday's 24-9 win over the Texans. Carolina's defense brought rookie quarterback Davis Mills down in the backfield four times, and Reddick led the charge. He added two tackles (one solo) and a tackle for loss. With three consecutive 1.5-sack performances to open the season, Reddick has already piled up 4.5, and he's on pace to easily surpass last year's career-best total of 12.5 if he can stay healthy.... Panthers' Haason Reddick: Adds to sack total
Reddick finished with three tackles (one solo) and 1.5 sacks in Sunday's 26-7 win over the Saints. Reddick now sports three sacks through his first couple games as a Panther. He and Brian Burns have formed a dynamic duo thus far, helping Carolina lead the league in sacks early on. Reddick will hope to keep getting to the quarterback in Week 3 versus the Texans.... Panthers' Haason Reddick: Strong team debut
Reddick finished with four tackles (three solo), 1.5 sacks and one forced fumble in Sunday's 19-14 win over the Jets. Reddick led Carolina with a pair of quarterback hits in his debut for the team, which included a strip-sack of opposing rookie Zach Wilson early on. Although the Panthers were unable to recover that forced fumble, Reddick certainly carried his momentum from last year's breakout, 12.5-sack campaign into his opening appearance for the Panthers.... Cardinals' Haason Reddick: Manages career campaign
Reddick accrued 63 tackles (43 solo, 20 for loss), 12.5 sacks, six forced fumbles and four pass defenses in 16 games during the 2020 season. The 2017 first-round pick entered the campaign with 7.5 sacks to his name through three seasons, but with the help of a five-sack outburst Week 14 he easily set a career high in the category. Along the way, Reddick tied with Aaron Donald for second in the NFL in tackles for loss and easily outpaced the competition in terms of forced fumbles. Reddick heads into the offseason as an unrestricted free agent, so his performance in 2020 may have priced him out of Arizona.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Haason Reddick: Cleared for Sunday's game
Reddick (hip) won't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Rams, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Arizona Republic reports. Reddick started the week absent from practice before logging a limited session Thursday and upgrading to full-speed Friday. The fourth-year linebacker will avoid missing the first game of his career, and he'll aim to continue his upward trajectory in Week 17. Through his first three NFL seasons, Reddick posted 7.5 sacks; he has registered 7.5 sacks over the past three contests.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Haason Reddick: Bothered by hip injury
Reddick (hip) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Reddick has gone through his fair share of injuries lately; he was questionable going into Week 16 due to a shoulder injury, and he picked up a hamstring injury during the game. The 2017 first-round pick appears to be dealing with a completely new issue, casting uncertainty onto his Week 17 status. Markus Golden likely would start at outside linebacker if Reddick ends up sidelined.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Haason Reddick: Disruptive in divisional loss
Reddick recorded three tackles (two solo), 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble in Saturday's 20-12 loss to the 49ers. Reddick has now registered a career-high 12.5 sacks through 15 games, thanks in large part to a five-sack performance back in Week 14 against the Giants. With six forced fumbles and four pass breakups to boot, Reddick -- a 2017 first-round pick who had his fifth-year option declined back in May -- is proving why he should be a staple in Arizona's defense moving forward....
