Leverett and the Patriots agreed on a contract Wednesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Buccaneers' Nick Leverett: Signs tender with Bucs
Leverett signed his exclusive rights tender with the Buccaneers on Monday, which means he has recovered from his knee injury, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Leverett will remain in Tampa Bay for the 2023 season after gaining medical clearance and signing his tender as an exclusive rights free agent. Buccaneers' Nick Leverett: Sticking with Bucs for another year
The Buccaneers extended the tender offer to Leverett (knee) on Friday, per the team's official site. Leverett is now set to become an exclusive rights free agent, so he'll ultimately remain with Tampa Bay in 2023 because he's now unable to negotiate with other NFL teams following Friday's transaction. Evan Lazar@ezlazar2H agoThe more I think about Ja'Lynn Polk, the more I like the pick for the #Patriots. Think they've gotten caught up in the past in chasing traits at receiver (speed with Tyquan, size/speed combo with Harry). Polk is just good at football. Tough, great hands, knows how to get open.
